Eco-Drive dome Design for the Future

The year 2010 is the 80th anniversary of the founding of Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. It is also a historic year in which Eco-Drive takes a new step forward.

Eco-Drive development began 35 years ago and has long been praised as an innovative technology. The challenge has always been how to incorporate its power-generation advances in watches that epitomize beauty.

CITIZEN will launch Eco-Drive DOME, which was presented as a concept model last year. Only 500 of these watches will be produced in this exclusive, limited series.

The dome-shaped layered dial conveys light to the movement and emits futuristic sparkles. The distinctive design, which features the Eco-Drive engine enclosed inside the case, embodies the concept of light energy that you can wear.
