Marine Royale 5847

BREGUET

Marine Royale 5847

Breguet’s Marine collection draws its inspiration from the original designs created by Breguet himself for the French Royal Navy after his 1815 appointment as Horologist to the French Navy.

Breguet’s Marine Royale 5847 comes with an alarm device that can only delight both amateur divers and aficionados of exceptional complications.

The alarm setting crown and on-off pushpiece, in gold, are sheathed in rubber for easier handling, adding a further touch of sporty elegance. The watch naturally possesses the usual diver’s-watch features, not least a one-way rotating bezel inscribed with a graduated 20-minute sector.

To improve its legibility even in the murkiest waters, its minute markers and hand along with the hour hand are coated with white luminous superluminova while the hour and alarm markers glow blue. Represented by a blue triangular pointer at 10 o’clock, the power-reserve indicator is also luminous.

Rounding out its attributes, the Marine Royale 5847 possesses a date indicator and a self-winding mechanism. The white gold version comes with an 18 kt dial with black rhodium finish while the pink gold version features an 18 kt pink gold dial. Both are manually engine-turned with the collection’s dedicated wave pattern.

C1 Vintage

CONCORD

C1 Vintage

Featuring an instantly recognizable and athletic stature, the C1 Vintage chronograph dares to explore distinctive style effects. As if hammered by time, its “worn” blue PVD case endows it with the charm of age while detracting nothing from its youthful energy. The watch definitely lives up to its name, since the ‘vintage’ concept as used in fashion is based on a blend of genres...

Sporty and retro, deliberately aged and decidedly muscular, the timepiece radiates a powerful dynamic that accentuates the performances of its COSC-certified automatic movement. To achieve this faded look, the PVD-treated stainless steel case has undergone a mechanical and chemical polishing process known as Trowalising® or barrel finishing. After being placed in a vibrating drum with deburring chips, water and a detergent compound, it was subjected to over two hours of intensive friction and rotation. The vibrating and abrasive effect subtly eroded and shotblasted the surface and its edges in order to create an authentic matt-type finish.

TOURBILLON FORCE CONSTANTE A CHAINE

DEWITT

TOURBILLON FORCE CONSTANTE A CHAINE

The Tourbillon Force Constante à Chaîne most definitely belongs to the exclusive circle of highly complicated masterpieces. By designing a system that relays energy to the power-reserve indicator, DeWitt has introduced a landmark innovation to the Tourbillon Force Constante.

Rotating the crown when winding the barrel-spring drives a miniature chain consisting of 192 hand-crafted elements, which uses an intermediate wheel to activate the power-reserve indicator sliding on a worm screw. If the pointer is in the red zone, the power-reserve is close to zero; when it is in the green zone, it means the barrel-spring is sufficiently wound.

This ingenious mechanism (the patented, mechanical manually-wound Calibre DW 8050) is a marvel in itself – and has aesthetic panache to match. Dial openings reveal the complexity of the mechanism and its various devices. The chain provides amazing balance. The visual harmony extends beyond mere mechanics. There is a density and personality about this timepiece that is truly exceptional.

The Tourbillon Force Constante à Chaine embodies the finest values of DeWitt: over and above its technical sophistication, it provides a bridge between a glorious past and a future rich in promise – a vision of authentic luxury that takes innovation to heights beyond a dream.
