TEMPVS COMPVTARE

The shark watcher

13TEMPVS COMPVTARE is one of a kind, among the Swiss watch industry Based in Neuchâtel area, birthplace of the Swiss watch industry and UNESCO World Heritage site, our watches are 100% conceived, produced and assembled in Switzerland.

TEMPVS COMPVTARE means time calculation in Latin, which is the leitmotiv of our brand; time is running out before the balance of basic natural resources is upset. Each model of TEMPVS COMPVTARE is dedicated to raise public awareness toward the emergency of a reaction to save the environment in which we live.

TEMPVS COMPVATRE was born after watching the amazing movie Sharkwater. The Creators, Nicolas and Rebecca Jeanson, wanted to stand up for sharks, using their skills and convictions. The brand is based on an eco-active concept: our timepieces are made in partnership with N.G.O actively involved in threatened species protection. To support them, TEMPVS COMPVTARE offers 30% of its net benefits, which are used to finance concrete preservation actions.

1The Shark Watcher:
The first model, the Shark Watcher, is dedicated to Shark’s preservation in partnership with Sharkwater and its President: Rob Stewart.

4Sharks populations has decline over 90% during the last two decades, yet this top predator has been shaping the oceans’ biodiversity for over 400 millions years. Regulating others fish species, shaping others predators, like seals. Sharks are the most important predators of our oceans, if they disappear, the oceanic biodiversity will collapse. Diving and thus diving watches, would then become worthless.

Preserving sharks is a matter of survival for every species on earth.

This is the first Shark Saving Watch ever, an automatic diving chronograph equipped with an ETA Valjoux 7750. The Shark Watcher is devoted to its environment; its hydrodynamics shapes are highly inspired from the underwater universe.

5The 47mm stainless steel case has been drawn using the flaming surfacing technique, which gives to the Shark Watcher a unique sporty design. The design, volume and readability are preserved even in the dark (when diving), thanks to insets of SuperLuminova on the dial, but also on the top of the horns, pushers and crown. The case back of the Shark Watcher is engraved with a shark figurine, so you can never forget the importance of sharks’ preservation.

The Shark Watcher is available in 3 versions: polished, brushed, or DLC black. The stainless steel of the case is made with a new rust proofing process, dedicated to diving watches. The Shark Watcher is a 100 pieces limited edition, it comes with 3 straps, a handmade sculpture and Sharkwater’s DVD.

Following our eco-active concept, no animal skin is used in the fabrication of our watches, we even push further by pointing the utilisation of stingrays skin in the watch industry. Rays and sharks are part of the same kind, both of these threatened species are poached, one for its fins, the other for its skin.

It is urgent to change our behaviour regarding oceans and sea life. “Life on earth depends on life in the oceans”, says Sharkwater President. This is the message we want to spread, the reason why TEMPVS COMPVTARE invited Rob Stewart during the Geneva Time Exhibition. Two conferences on shark’s preservation were held during the show.

We also made the choice to be the closest possible from our public by being present on Facebook, with the TEMPVS COMPVTARE Watches Official Group, where everyone can discuss with us of our philosophy, of our vision, where everyone can find ways to get informed, to get involved.

The Bee Watcher:
“Without bees, man you have 4 years of life left”: Albert Einstein.

Bees’ population decline is more than worrying, as they are responsible for pollination of many vegetal species, which allows various animal species to live, including human being.

Today, billions of bees are disappearing worldwide in the general disinterest; this is mainly caused by the 60 years of pesticides utilisation, this is a worldwide extinction that we are facing today.

We are actually developing in partnership with a French N.G.O. called “Terre d’Abeilles” (Bees’ Earth) the next TEMPVS COMPVTARE’s model: The Bee Watcher, designed for women.
The Bee Watcher will support the N.G.O in the development of a European Apiary Conservatory for Black Bees.

TEMPVS COMPVTARE will be present at the 2010 BaselWorld Edition, where you will be able to discover our new Life Saving Watches!

Life is Precious, Life is Luxury.

Living resources shall not be utilized in excess of their natural capacity for regeneration.
