The global slowdown has touched all companies and Omega too. Our strategy of having our exclusive stores has helped us a lot even though sales are flat. We have maintained our growth. Even though retail chains are selling watches, banks have stopped giving credit. The crisis hasn’t really spilled on to the consumer world from the financial world. It’s not a boom time but certain markets have done well.

Tell us about the magic of Swiss-made?
The Swiss-made tag is linked with impeccable quality and pristine status. Even today, the Swiss watch industry has worked wonders to maintain the brand equity of the label. Very few products are intrinsically linked to the country. It can give consumer confidence and can command a premium.
