Gitanjali Lifestyle hosts Mumbai’s most awaited racing events

It was that time of the year again, for one of the most awaited attractions of the racing season. Gitanjali Lifestyle, India’s leading Jewellery and Lifestyle brand hosted the Gitanjali Lifestyle Challenge and the Gitanjali Indian 1000m Guineas at the Turf Club, Mahalaxmi race course in Mumbai Today. It was an extravaganza which saw a blend of Luxury, Glamour and sports.

The Gitanjali Lifestyle Derby which spells style and entertainment was an attraction to the crème de la crème as well as the racing aficionados. True to its brand association, Gitanjali Lifestyle made sure that the Glitterati in Mumbai enjoyed their Sunday afternoon which was filled with thrill and excitement. Bollywood Divas Raima Sen, Neetu Chandra and Urvashi Sharma added to the glamour as they made an appearance to give away the trophies to the winners. The races were interspersed by an exquisite Fashion show put together by designer Archana Kochhar and jewellery by Giantti.

relaunches Time

After 160 years of providing the best to its customers, P.Orr & Sons, one of the largest multi brand watch showrooms in Asia launched its fully refurbished showroom in Anna Salai on 2nd December, 2009. Hemu Ramaiah, the celebrated founder of Landmark chain of book stores, and co-founder of Shop 4 Solutions has been instrumental in designing and implementing the new format for P.Orr and Sons.

Pradipta K. Mohapatra, Chairman of Coaching Foundation India Ltd, Bhaskar Bhat, MD, Titan Industries Ltd, G. Kannan, MD, Timex Group India Ltd, Isamu Kawaguchi, MD, Citizen India Ltd and Niladri Mazumder, Head of sales and marketing, Seiko were present on this grand occasion. Coinciding with the inauguration, brand new collections from Titan, Timex, Citizen and Seiko were launched for the first time in Chennai.

The vast retail space has been sectioned into modern display units that afford the customer ease of shopping and an opportunity to view the watches in contemporary display cases. Housed in a 6000 square feet, regal Indo-Sara scenic style building that thrives as a landmark for Chennai, P.Orr & Sons is renowned for its honest pricing and exemplary service standards. P.Orr & Sons stocks around 7500 watches and clocks at any given point in time and retails more than 35 Swiss, Indian and other International brands.

The brands range from Raymond Weil, Rado, Longines, Hamilton, Balmain, Tissot, Titan, Timex, Citizen, Seiko and so on. The product price ranges from  Rs. 400 in the basic watch segment to 10 lakhs in the luxury segment, from all under one roof. P.Orr & Sons also inhouses watches for all age groups from children to the elderly, thereby catering to all the segments of the society P.Orr & Sons also custom makes Grandfather clocks for their customers. In addition to retailing, the company activities include Servicing and Manufacturing. All P.Orr & Sons showrooms are equipped with ISO certified service centers which have state-of-the-art instruments for  testing, cleaning and calibrating of both mechanical and quartz watches. Manufacturing of Survey Instruments as well as undertaking their repairing and servicing is another key aspect of their business.

There are a total of 8 stores; five stores in Chennai, one in Coimbatore, one in Trichy and one in Erode. Early next year our ninth store which is a large format store will be opened in Pondicherry.
